Day 3 Quiet day at Sea

Day 3. At sea
Well today was a huge improvement. The ship sailed through the inside passage, a day to relax and enjoy the scenery. Water was flat calm, made whale watching and salmon watching easy. Jet lag still buggering sleep around but all in all quiet day, Helen attended a cooking class and I did a photo Gallery workshop. The afternoon we sat in the library at a window watching the shoreline and the beautiful British Columbia hinterland.

Every now and then a humpback would breach the surface and fill the air with spray. huge salmon would jump out of the water escaping some other hunter. Evening we had dinner with new friends from Wales, Dave and Sian in the Tamarind Restaurant (Asian cuisine) and were entertained by about 30 humpbacks feeding about 30 meters from the ship. A good day.
Apparently to see so many whales is quite rare, they were 'bubble feeding' with 4 or 5 floating on the surface at once, an awesome sight.
